Help for Ukraine
Published on: May 20, 2022

After Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, HUB was asked to help collect medical supplies and equipment since many of their hospitals and medical facilities had been badly damaged or destroyed. Knowing that many of the supplies were needed in hard-to-reach areas, HUB decided to send individual first aid kits (IFAKs) that could be used immediately rather than large shipments of supplies that needed to be unpacked and distributed. After collecting the IFAK supplies, a “pack the kits” day was scheduled on April 2nd at the warehouse. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, we packed 100 kits, boxed them up, and palletized them for shipment to an organization in Virginia that flew them to Ukraine. We also packed up surgical supplies and PPE (to be sent to the hospitals) for a total of $45,000 in supplies sent to Ukraine.

The best news is that all the supplies arrived in Ukraine earlier this week to be distributed to the hospitals and folks in the hardest hit areas. The pictures below are from the distribution warehouse in Ukraine.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this shipment possible!
